Jan. 12

Officers responded to a residence at 40 Heinz on a report of theft.

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of Main Street. The driver was issued a proof of service for driving on a suspended license.

An officer responded to Stinker Gas Station on a report of possible identity theft.

Officers responded to a residence in the 700 block of 1575 Road on a report of a possible burglary. April Marie Edwards, 36, of Delta, was arrested and jailed for second degree aggravated motor vehicle theft and criminal attempt as an act of domestic violence.

Jan. 13

Officers responded to Delta County Memorial Hospital on a report of an uncooperative adult male who walked away after being placed on an emergency hold.

An officer conducted a traffic stop on East Third Street at Leon Street. Travis Edward Tatum, 32, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged careless driving, driving under the influence and DUI Per Se.

Officers responded to a residence in the 800 block of East 10th Street on a report of a disturbance.

An officer took a report of a possible protection order violation at a residence in the 1100 block of Frontier Road.

An officer responded to 1501 East Third Street, DCMH, on a report of an assault.

Jan. 14

Officer William Hammon and K9 Raico assisted DEA and the 7th Judicial Drug Task Force with K9 services during an investigation.

Officers responded to 1400 Pioneer Road, Delta High School, on a report of an assault. A 16-year-old male of Delta was arrested and transported to the Department of Youth Correction in Mesa County for alleged Third Degree Assault and Harassment as acts of domestic violence.

An officer responded to 900 Main Street, Hellman Chevrolet, on a report of auto theft.

Chad Aaron Larkins, 36, of Hotchkiss, was arrested and jailed on a warrant with a $750 bond.

George Walter Bryant, 34, of Delta, was arrested and jailed on a warrant with a $750 bond.

Jan. 15

An officer responded to Walmart on a report of a shoplifter.

An officer responded to 121 Gunnison River Drive, Delta Ace Hardware, on a report of shoplifting.

Jan. 16

An officer responded to Western Convenience South on a report of counterfeit money.

Officers responded to Area Best Pawn and Gun for an audible burglar alarm. Forced entry had been made and firearms were removed from the store.

Jan. 17

Officers responded to 702 Main St. on a report of auto theft. The vehicle was located a short time later and Skye Lorel Colburn, 21, of Delta, was arrested and jailed for alleged aggravated motor vehicle theft.

An officer attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 300 block of Palmer Street. The vehicle fled the scene. The driver was identified and charges are pending.

Officers responded to a two vehicle hit and run accident with no injuries at the intersection of Main Street and Eaton Avenue. The run vehicle was located and a juvenile female of Delta was issued a ticket for alleged careless driving.

An officer responded to Days Inn on a report of theft.

An officer took a report of a theft at Cruisin’ MoCady Car Wash.

Jan. 18

An officer responded to a residence in the 800 block of Terrace Street on a report of burglary.

An officer took a phone report of possible harassment.
