Upon further investigation, Jasmine Herrera was issued a summons for charges of failure to vaccinate, failure to license, running at large (first), vicious animals (two) and animals creating a nuisance.

1131 hours An officer contacted a wanted person at the address of 1220 A St. Christopher Taylor was arrested on an active felony Montrose County warrant and transported to Delta County Jail.

1400 hours An officer was informed that a wanted person was reportedly at Taco Time. Dillon Reed was arrested on two active warrants and transported to the Delta County Jail.

1527 hours An officer responded to 1144 Bluff St. for a report of a verbal disturbance. Both parties agreed to separate.

1539 hours An officer was dispatched to 37 Stafford Lane, Walmart for a report of a cold shoplifting.

1933 hours An officer responded to the address of 323 Meeker St. on a report of a civil problem.

2037 hours An officer received a report of a traffic accident that occurred at Sonic located at 45 Stafford Lane. 

May 16

0335 hours A K9 officer conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle displaying expired license plates near the address of 6026 Graff Road. K-9 Raico was deployed for a free air sniff of the vehicle and a probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted. Multiple items of paraphernalia were located. 

0926 hours An officer contacted a wanted person at 707 Main St. Rusty Mccormick was arrested on a valid warrant and transported to the Delta County Jail.

1118 hours An officer contacted a wanted person at 685 Highway 92. John Bortles was arrested on a valid warrant and transported to the Delta County Jail.

1153 hours An officer contacted a wanted person at the address of 327 Main St., West Legacy Park. Daniel Teare was arrested on an active Delta County warrant and transported to the Delta County Jail.

1317 hours A code enforcement officer responded to multiple addresses on Meeker Street, Howard Street, Third Street, East Seventh Street, East 11th Street, East 13th Street, Palmer Street, West Seventh Street, West Eighth, to visit residents with or leave door hangers regarding the overgrown weeds that are in violation of City of Delta’s Municipal Code. If improvement is not made, summons will be issued.

1713 hours An officer responded to 1551 I Road for a report of a traffic accident.

1800 hours An officer spoke to a staff member at the Willow Tree. For an information report.

2331 hours An officer responded to 922 Leon St. for a suspicious incident.

2336 hours An officer conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle near the intersection of East Third Street and Leon Street. As a result, Anna Pudney was arrested on an active misdemeanor warrant out of Delta County Sheriff’s Office and a misdemeanor warrant out of Montrose County Sheriff’s Office. She was transported to the Delta County Jail.

May 17

0912 hours An officer responded to 1240 E. Third St. to conduct a welfare check per adult protective services request. 

0940 hours An officer was dispatched to 720 E. Third St. for a report of a broken window.

1050 hours An officer responded to 121 Gunnison River Drive in response to a disturbance. Shawn Mcpherson was arrested on a protection order violation for possession of alcohol. He was transported to the Delta County Jail.

1153 hours An officer responded to the intersection of 1800 Road and H Road in regards to a two vehicle traffic accident.

1226 hours An officer conducted a certified vehicle identification number inspection.

1834 hours An officer responded to 791 White St. for a civil problem.

May 18

0749 hours An officer responded to 640 W. Fourth St. in regards to a criminal mischief. 

0759 hours The school resource officer took a report of a runaway juvenile.

0811 hours The animal control enforcement officer responded to 961 Yorkshire Court for a report of two dogs running at large. A door hanger was left to notify the owners that their dogs were out. 

0952 hours The animal control enforcement officer responded to 645 Howard St. for a report of a small dog running at large.

1014 hours An officer took a report of theft that occurred at 715 Highway 50.

1029 hours An officer responded to 595 Highway 92 in regards to a trespass. Nicholas Lafleur was issued a summons for the charge of trespassing.

1059 hours An officer took a report of identity theft.

1107 hours An officer took a report of theft that occurred at 625 Palmer St. 

1736 hours An officer responded to Two Columbine Circle for the report of an active domestic. David Bement was arrested on charges of assault in the second degree, menacing, possession of weapon by previous offender, prohibited use of weapon, child abuse, domestic violence and an active warrant out of Mesa County. He was transported to Delta County Jail.

2152 hours An officer responded to East Fourth Street and Grand Avenue for the report of a possible rolling domestic violence situation.

1440 hours The school resource officer responded to 401 E. Tenth St., Delta Middle School for a report of a juvenile problem.

1539 hours An officer was dispatched to 101 Highway 92, Maverik for shoplifting. Shawn Mcpherson was arrested on charges of violation of a protection order and theft <300.00 dollars. He was transported to Delta County Jail.

1829 hours An officer received a signed search warrant for the address of 646 Silver St. As a result, Suzanne Adams was arrested on charges of criminal impersonation, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and three active warrants. She was transported to Delta County Jail.

2008 hours An officer contacted Deana Ellis at 646 Silver St. while executing a search warrant. As a result, Deana was arrested on violation of a protection order and transported to Delta County Jail.

2225 hours An officer took a report of fraud.

2334 hours An officer responded to 101 N. Main St., Stinkers, for a possible overdose. 

May 20

0951 hours An officer was dispatched to 7110 Highway 50 in response to a child screaming inside a car in the parking lot. 

1151 hours An officer contacted a wanted person at Porter Court and Stafford Lane. Shane Mcdowell was arrested on a valid warrant and transported to Delta County Jail.

2051 hours An officer responded to 780 A St. for a citizen assist.

0515 hours Deputies were dispatched to 15004 G Road, C & N Storage, for a report of a theft. 

0600 hours Deputies responded to the area of the 35000 block of F50 Road, Crawford for a single vehicle traffic accident. 

0643 hours DCSO responded to a report of a disturbance in the 25000 block of Highway 92, Austin. 

0854 hours Deputies were on routine patrol traveling south on Highway 65 when they noticed two vehicles parked in the vacant lot for the old Cory Store, 9340 Highway 65, near an abandoned motor home.

1730 hours Deputies conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Palmer and West Fifth Street in Delta.

0022 hours Jerdon Brown, 42, was arrested on three Delta County municipal warrants in the 600 block of Silver Street, Delta and was transported to the Delta County Jail.

0057 hours Jesse Mcafee, 40, was arrested in the 200 block of Palmer Street, Delta on an active warrant out of DPD and was transported to the Delta County Jail.

0330 hours Deputies were dispatched to Highway 50, mile marker 60 for domestic violence. 

0820 hours DCSO arrested Christopher Rubalcaba, 39, in the 20000 block of East Road, Delta on three outstanding warrants. 

0835 hours Deputies arrested Nicholas LaFleur in the 100 block of Southwest 15th Circle, Cedaredge, for an active municipal failure to appear warrant and transported him to the Delta County Jail. 

0914 hours Deputies responded to the 21000 block of Hamilton Road, Cedaredge for reports of a possible burglary. 

0959 hours John Vieira was arrested on a Delta County warrant for failure to appear at the DCSO office. 

1036 hours Deputies were on routine patrol traveling south on 3100 Road when they came upon a car verse’s deer accident. 

1241 hours Deputies responded to the 4000 block of 1900 Road, Delta for reports of criminal mischief.

1312 hours A court security officer arrested Cabel Zane Alvin Rhode, 21, on an outstanding Delta County municipal warrant for failure to appear and placed him in the Delta County Jail. 

1315 hours Bobby Harper, 38, was arrested in the 6000 block of Graff Road, Delta for his three DPD municipal warrants and booked into the Delta County Jail. 

1440 hours Deputies responded to the 900 block of West Main Street, Cedaredge on a report of a suspicious circumstance.

1627 hours Deputies responded to Roice-Hurst Animal Society for a report of a found dog located near the intersection of G Road and 2100 in Delta. Three photos were taken and posted on facebook. The long haired black dog, of unknown breed, was safely secured. 

1639 hours DCSO arrested Michael Hiland, 70, in the 21000 block of Vaca Drive, Eckert on an outstanding Garfield County warrant. 

2035 hours Deputies arrested Layla Fairchild, 22, on a failure to appear warrant out of Montrose County. 

1944 hours Deputies responded to the 18000 block of F Road, Delta for a report of a verbal disturbance. 

1927 hours Deputies were dispatched to the 2000 block of Pioneer Road, Delta for a theft. 

May 19

1222 hours Deputies arrested Kenneth Kish, 74, for two protection order violations in the 38000 block of Saddle Mountain Lane, Crawford.

1120 hours Deputies contacted a fugitive of justice in the 40000 block of D Road, Crawford. As a result of the contact, Gregory Hall, 56, was taken into custody and transported to the Delta County Jail for booking on three Delta County warrants. 

1150 hours DCSO responded to the 9000 block of Highway 65 for a civil problem.

May 21

1151 hours Deputies responded to the area of Highway 50, mile marker 55 for a motorcycle traffic accident. 

1319 hours Deputies took a report of an agency assist from the 12000 block of Alon Road, Hothckiss. 

1340 hours Delta County dispatch was notified by a resident on 3700 Road, Hotchkiss that the North Fork of the Gunnison River was eroding the bank of private property.

1434 hours Deputies took a report of suspicious activity in the 3000 block of Peak Valley Road, Delta. 

1617 hours DCSO was advised of a water problem call at Highway 133 and 3500 Road, Hothckiss.
