An officer responded to Salvation Army on a report of shoplifting.
An officer responded to City Market, on a report of a suspicious substance being found.
An officer responded to Delta Middle School, on a report of a possible burglary.
An officer responded to Bill Heddles Recreation Center on a report of theft.
Daniel Gomez, 65, of Eckert, was arrested and jailed on a warrant with a $750 bond.
Zachary Alan Hooker, 30, of Delta, was arrested and jailed on a warrant with a $500 bond.
Lindsey Shae McKinney, 35, of Cedaredge, was arrested and jailed for unlawful possession of a Schedule 1 controlled substance and unlawful possession of a Schedule 2 controlled substance. McKinney’s bond is set at $15,000.
Officers responded to a residence in the 300 block of Palmer Street on a report of an adult male with a possible gunshot wound. Delta County Ambulance District responded to render medical treatment.
Justin Richard Fresquez, 37, of Delta, was arrested and jailed on three warrants with a total of $7,700 in bonds and was also arrested and jailed on a warrant with a $300 bond.
Joshua Shane Wilcox, 29, of Delta, was issued a ticket for alleged possession of drug paraphernalia.
Ruben Miguel Armendariz, 43, of Delta, was issued a ticket for failure to stop at a stop sign, driving motor vehicle while license suspended and displaying fictitious plates/stickers and was also arrested and jailed on a warrant with a $300 bond.
Nicole Lynn Christensen, 31, of Delta, was arrested and jailed on a warrant with a $1,000 bond.
An officer took a report of a possible violation of a protection order which allegedly occurred at a residence in the 900 block of Vine Street.
Robert Donald Mowrey Jr., 41, homeless, was arrested and jailed for alleged disorderly conduct and obstructing government operations.
Officers responded to a residence in the 600 block of Viente Drive on a report of a disturbance. Danielle Leigh Yazzie, 34, of Delta, was arrested and jailed for violation of a restraining order and violation of bail bond conditions.
Deputies with the Delta County Sheriff’s Office responded to a traffic hazard on Highway 50 at mile marker 54, Delta. A passenger car slid off the highway into the median from the weather and no damage was observed. A tractor-trailer had also jack-knifed in the middle of the highway causing traffic to come to a stand still. Colorado State Patrol responded and took over primary investigation of this incident.
Deputies responded to the report of a mailboxes being vandalized in the 78000 block of Basalt Road, Crawford. The mailboxes were struck and thrown a small distance away from their original placements. There are no suspects at this time.
Delta County Sheriff’s Deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 100 block Main Street, Delta. Harold Suazo, of Delta, was arrested for suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
The Delta County Sheriff’s Office (Court Security Officer) arrested Francisco Baltazar, 54, on an outstanding Colorado State Patrol warrant and placed him in the Delta County Jail. The warrant was for failure to appear, with a bond of $750.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 5000 block of Peach Valley Road. As a result of the stop, Shirley Hawkins was arrested for an outstanding warrant and booked into the Delta County Jail. Hawkins was also charged with introducing illegal contraband into a jail facility and several traffic violations.
The Delta County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Division of Wildlife with dispatching an injured deer in the 37000 block of Highway 133, Hotchkiss. The deer had a broken back and was put down.
A deputy with the Delta County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jennifer Williams on a Delta County warrant for failure to appear and contempt of court at the Delta County Jail this date. Bonds are $1,500 cash/surety and $5,000 cash/surety, respectively.
Deputies with the Delta County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 12000 block of 2165 Road, Austin, in reference to a potential theft of a firearm.
Deputies responded to the area of North Road just east of 2600 Road, Eckert, for a report of a vehicle that had been broken into. The vehicle sustained damage to a camper shell window as well as a rear cab window. The radio was damaged by a rock thrown through the windows. The only suspect information is a possible white male party driving a white mid 2000s single cab Dodge diesel truck. The surrounding areas were checked for this vehicle. The vehicle and suspect were not found. This case will be inactive with no known suspects.
A deputy with the Delta County Sheriff’s Office responded to 8134 Crawford Road, Hotchkiss, for a report of an abandoned vehicle. The deputy spoke to the reporting party, cleared the vehicle through the National Crime Information Center and advised the reporting party Delta County will not tow vehicles from private property. The deputy advised the reporting party he would attempt to locate the out of town owner and attempt to have the vehicle moved.
Delta County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 38000 block of Saddle Mountain Lane, Crawford. Deputies contacted Benjamin Wright, of Crawford, who had an active warrant out of Delta County Sheriff’s Office. Additionally, deputies recovered a small amount of presumptive methamphetamine and prescription drugs. Wright was booked into the Delta County Jail for this warrant.
The Delta County Sheriff’s Office apprehended Clairissa George, a fugitive from justice, while at the Delta County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s office transported George to the Delta County Jail for booking.
The Delta County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a fraud at the First National Bank in Delta.
The Delta County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 7200 block of 2200 Road, Delta, for a report of a fire. The Delta Fire Department put the fire out and this incident is still under investigation for possible arson.
Deputies with the Delta County Sheriff’s Office responded to a suspicious incident in the 20000 block of Ward Creek Road, Cedaredge. The reporting party wanted the incident documented regarding suspicious text messages from someone pretending to be with Publisher’s Clearing House offering a reward. No money was given and no bank accounts were perpetrated.
Deputies with the Delta County Sheriff’s Office received a tip of a possible drug violation at the Delta County Jail. Inmate Christopher Stevens, of Delta, was found to be in possession of illegal narcotics during a medical examination.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the City of Delta after a traffic violation was observed. As a result of the stop, David Olson, of Delta, was arrested for violation of a protection order and for the traffic infractions.
