An officer received a call of a found dog on the 900 block of A Street. As a result, the dog was taken to Roice-Hurst Humane Shelter.

An officer responded to the 100 block of Dodge Street for a one vehicle accident.

An officer received a call of a traffic accident near the intersection of West 1st Street and Palmer Street. As a result, Rufus Phelps was arrested on a warrant and transported to Delta County Jail.

An officer responded to a report of a possible domestic violence.

An officer responded to the 500 block of East 10th Street for a report of 1st degree criminal trespass.

An officer made contact with a male outside of the Delta Police Department for an information report.

An officer was dispatched to Four Seasons River Inn & RV Park for a civil problem.

An officer conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle displaying fictitious license plates near the intersection of East 3rd Street and Grand avenue. As a result, Michael Thomas was issued a summons for driving vehicle with license revoked, habitual traffic offenses, fictitious plates and failure to present evidence of insurance.

An officer responded to the 200 block of East 9th Street for a report of vehicle trespass.

An officer responded to the 1200 block of Frontier Road for a report of a possible disturbance.

An officer took a report of possible theft.

An officer responded to Bank of Colorado for a report of fraud.

An officer responded to Walmart for a possible protection order violation.

An officer was on patrol in the area of 1st Street and Palmer Street when he contacted a person. Christos Kester was arrested on two valid Delta County warrants and transported to Delta County Jail.

An officer was on patrol in the 1100 block of Main Street and conducted a traffic stop. As a result, Josalynn Clarkson was arrested for a protection order violation and transported to Delta County Jail.

Sept. 8

Code Enforcement officer responded to the 1000 block of East 9th Street. As a result, a property owner and tenants were issued summons for storage of litter, keeping of junk, weed control, nuisance declared and nuisance prohibited.

An officer responded to a residence in the 1000 block of A street for a report of possible explosives within the residence. As a result, officers determined there were no explosives only flares. The flares were disposed of properly.

An officer responded to the 1700 block of Pioneer Circle for a citizen assist. As a result, an adult male was placed on a mental health hold.

An officer responded to Westways Court for an unattended death.

An officer responded to Alta Vista De La Montana for a suicidal juvenile.

An officer received a report of a theft that occurred in the 100 block of East 11th Street.

An officer responded to the Delta Sales Yard for a report of criminal mischief.

An officer received a call of a female shouting and undressing at the 200 block of Main Street. As a result, the female was transported to Delta Health and placed on a mental health hold.

Sept. 12

An officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Henry Street and Highway 92. As a result, Donald Abbey was arrested on a protection order violation and transported to Delta County Jail.

An officer responded to Alta Vista De La Montana for a report of a drunk driver. As a result, Jeremiah Patterson was issued a summons for charges of DUI and license revoked habitual traffic offender.

An officer responded to Sudsy Duds on a possible protection order violation. As a result, Larissa Atchley was charged with violation of a protection order.

An officer responded to a traffic accident at the intersection of West 5th Street and Palmer Street.

An officer contacted a male at Salvation Army. As a result, Derek Alexander was arrested on an outstanding Delta County Warrant and transported to Delta County Jail.

Deputies responded to a cell phone theft in the 210000 block of E Road, Delta.

Deputies responded to the 1600 block of I Road, Delta for a theft report.

Sept. 8

Matthew Mckinney was arrested on two Grand Junction PD warrants for failure to comply at the Delta County Jail on this date.

Nancy Hughes, 75, was issued a summons for harassment during an investigation in Paonia.

DCSO responded to Orchard City Town Hall to remove David Stueck from the board of trustees meeting after he refused to comply with meeting regulations.

DCSO assisted the Delta Police Department with a disturbance in the 1000 block of Frontier Road, Delta.

Sept. 9

Hieu Luu, 33, was arrested and booked into the Delta County Jail on suspicion of DUI.

DCSO was advised of a trespass call at the 19000 block of Ward Creek Road, Cedaredge.

Deputies were dispatched to the 7000 block of 1900 Road, Hotchkiss for a suspicious incident.

DCSO took a report of a vehicle being vandalized in the 20000 block of Del Ray Drive, Orchard City.

Deputies were dispatched to the 9000 block of Highway 65, Austin for a suspicious incident.

Gabriel Smart, 28, was taken into custody and transported to the Delta County Jail on two warrants.

A dog was transported to Roice-Hurst Humane Society after being picked up in the 21000 block of Nowhere Road, Eckert.

Deputies were dispatched to the 12000 block of East Spring Circle, Eckert, for a report of suspicious activity.

The Delta County Sheriff’s Office received a report of possible harassment involving a resident in Eckert.

Sept. 10

DCSO took a report of the theft of two packages in the 14000 block of Deer Run Road, Delta.

A deputy responded to a report of found drug paraphernalia being located on property near the roadway, seemingly hidden by a large rock. The items were collected and disposed of properly.

Due to complaints of a large Dodge truck speeding in the area, patrol will be increased in the 3000 block of Ridge Road, Delta.

DCSO responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle repeatedly driving through the neighborhood in the 22000 block of Sycamore Lane, Eckert.

Sept. 11

Deputies responded to a Ford F-150 truck on fire in the area of H75 road, Delta. It’s suspected a fuel leak had occurred. No injuries. No foul play suspected.

Courtney Colburn, fugitive from justice, was located during a traffic stop on Austin Road near Coogans Bluff Road, Austin.

DCSO responded to a report of trespassing in the 4000 block of Peach Valley Road, Delta.

Deputies responded to the 5000 block of Simmental Road, Delta on report of a disturbance and a male party driving away intoxicated.

Sept. 12

DCSO took a report of trespass in the 24000 block of North Road, Eckert.

Nicholaus Rung, 59, was arrested on one Delta County Sheriff’s Office warrant.

Deputies responded to the 500 block of Dogwood Avenue on report of a domestic violence situation.
