A popular gathering spot in downtown Cedaredge will continue to serve the community with food, beverages and gift ideas. The transition from “Stacy’s on Main” to the “Main Street Market” happened last week as new owners Steve and Wendy Kelsey took over from Scott and Stacy Malmgren.

The Kelseys also own Orange Kat Gifts, a business which features customized engraved designs and handcrafted creations including promotional items which highlight company logos. The couple hopes to use their new Main Street location as an outlet for their products.

Referring to the shop’s previous owners, Steve expressed gratitude.

“We’re lucky to have Stacy and Tracy (Munson) blaze the trail for us,” he said.

Tracy Munson operated “Munson’s Main Street Gallery” at the same location until Stacy and Scott Malmgren took over the shop in 2016.

Steve and Kelsey relocated to the area three-and-a-half years ago, moving here from Bailey, Colorado. They founded Orange Kat Gifts in 2010.

Steve Kelsey emphasized that patrons of Stacy’s on Main will find much unchanged. The new owners will retain the services of Molly McCamey and Annette Robles, the shop’s baristas. They’ll still be open early, at 6 a.m., and the food menu plus specialty coffees and other drinks will be similar.

The new owners hope to maintain the shop’s informal and friendly atmosphere. And, over the coming months, they anticipate phasing in expanded hours.
