There’s an impressive Alpine Snow Village at Crawford Town Hall. The display features dozens of buildings and tiny characters, all lit with holiday cheer. The village will be available for viewing in the foyer of town hall from now through the end of the year. Crawford Town Hall is open Monday — Thursday 8:00 a.m. — 4 :00 p.m. The village can also be viewed after hours through the large windows in the foyer.
The next regularly scheduled meeting for the Crawford Area Chamber of Commerce is on Dec. 13 at Crawford Town Hall. Chamber meetings are open to the public and are held the 2nd Monday of the month.
Paonia — Valley Organic Growers Association (VOGA) will host a Holiday Party from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 12 at Root and Vine Market located at 40823 Highway 133 in Paonia. Indoor and outdoor seating will be available. A chili and wine dinner will be served. Donations will be accepted.
Community Lunches in the North Fork Valley are served every Tuesday from noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Trading Post located at 15495 Black Bridge Road in Paonia. The nutritious lunches are made with ingredients from the North Fork Valley and served by The Learning Council. There is a suggested donation of $15-20 per plate.
Hotchkiss — North Fork Children’s Christmas party will take place from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 11 at Heritage Hall located at the Delta County Fairgrounds. Due to COVID-19, there will not be an in-person party; instead gift bags will be handed out by Santa and his elves. THE NORTH FORK EMS is offering free classes for older adults, aiming to retain and improve strength, balance and fitness. Classes meet in Paonia on Tuesdays, Fridays from 10-11 a.m. at the Paonia Senior Center and in Hotchkiss on Mondays, Thursdays from 10-11 a.m. at Memorial Hall. The next Hotchkiss Community Chamber of Commerce member meeting will be at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 16 at the Hotchkiss Crawford Historical Society Museum.
Merchant Meeting Get-Togethers are taking place every other Wednesday in Hotchkiss. The meetings are for local business owners and interested citizens who wish to chat about matters of interest or concern to the business community.

The 10th annual Western Colorado Food and Farm Forum will take place Jan. 21-22 at the Montrose Pavilion & Event Center. This year’s keynote speaker will be Dr. Hannah Gosnell, Professor of Geography at Oregon State University.
