The North Fork Seniors Connections is viewing the new folk-art Friendship Quilt pieced by North Fork Senior Connections members Connie Hodges, Linda McCone, Cyndi Landes, Janet Oja and Laura Lee Yates and quilted by Connie Hodges. Visitors are welcome to view the quilt at the Paonia Senior Center at 106 3rd Street between 10:00 a.m -3:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. The Learning Council is hosting a live poetry reading by Hayden Danske (they/them): poet, author, and director of the Boulder Food Rescue. The event will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 12 at the Paradise Theatre in Paonia.

The Hotchkiss Area Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for 2021 Business of the Year, Non-Profit of the Year, and Citizen of the Year awards. Merchant Meeting Get-Togethers are happening every other Wednesday in Hotchkiss. Local business owners and interested citizens meet every other Wednesday to chat about matters of interest or concern to the business community. These ‘no-agenda’ meetings are open, welcoming, and a great way to get to know your business peers in an informal setting. First Wednesday of the month at 8:00 a.m at Coal Train Coffee House. Third Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. Location varies.

After a COVID break last year, the Hotchkiss Area Chamber of Commerce will be cautiously hosting the Memorial Hall Holiday Fair once again. This year, the chamber will expand to two days Friday, Nov, 19 from 11:00 a.m. — 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 20 9:00 a.m. — 4:00 p.m. Check with the chamber for more details, also the NFAA will be hosting its North Fork Holiday Marketplace craft fair at Heritage Hall on the same weekend.

Western Slope Conservation Center and the Paradise Theatre will host the Mountainfilm on Tour 2021. The event will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Nov. 19 at the Paradise Theatre in Paonia. Tickets purchased online at WSCC and in advance are $10 for WSCC members, $15 for non-members, and $5 for children/students. All tickets sold at the door will cost $15.
