One Delta County IGA
Elyse Casselberry, community and economic development director, presented the Orchard City board of directors with the update from the DCI article “Another step toward One Delta County.” She asked that the board approve the IGA to support economic development.
The board unanimously approved the IGA and will contribute 5.46% of the overall $65,994 for costs related to hiring a project manager with the opportunity for a livable wage and benefits.
Hillcrest Road waterline project bid awarded
The board awarded the bid for a waterline project on Hillcrest Road to Frontier Pipeline Construction, Inc., which provided the lowest bid for the project at $90,547.40. According to Trustee Dick Kirkpatrick, who serves on the water committee, the town has used Frontier before and was satisfied with its service.
Appointments to the planning commission
With three open seats on the Town of Orchard City planning commission, there were two applicants: Joe Gorrod and David Stueck. The board unanimously appointed both Gorrod and Stueck to the planning commission.
Preliminary plat approval for Briles Bluff subdivision
The board of trustees approved a preliminary plat for the Briles Bluff subdivision, which is the re-subdivision of Lot 2 of the Theobold subdivision.
Water committee report
Kirkpatrick reported that the water committee met and went through the water audit and discussed awarding the Hillcrest Road bid to Frontier Pipeline Construction, Inc., which ultimately happened. He also reported that they educated Wade Kasmen, the board’s new trustee as of April, on the details of the water treatment plant project.
