Paonia is one step closer to protecting its night sky visibility after the Paonia Town Council unanimously passed an ordinance designed with the help of the International Dark Sky Association.

“The ordinance in front of the trustees tonight is a crucial step for Paonia to be recognized as a Dark Sky Town by the International Dark Sky Association,” International Dark Sky Association State-wide Chapter President Aaron Watson said. “There’s still some work that needs to be done but this is a major step in that process.”
