The Western Colorado Community Foundation (WCCF) is accepting scholarship applications from students residing in Western Colorado. A total of 34 different scholarship funds managed by WCCF are available to students through one online application at wc-cf.org. Scholarships include 17 different awards which are available only to Delta County graduating seniors.
Scholarships range from $500 to more than $5,000 and many are renewable for up to four years. Criteria include various factors such as financial need, grade-point-average and chosen field of study. Students planning to attend either four-year degree programs or vocational institutions are eligible to apply. Deadline to apply is March 15. Last year, WCCF committed $822,700 in scholarship awards with funds to be paid out over the next four years. These scholarships helped 93 students from Western Slope counties attend college to pursue their dreams.
The Western Colorado Community Foundation serves seven counties in western Colorado, managing charitable funds for community good. The Community Foundation manages charitable funds totaling over $95 million in assets and the organization awards nearly $5 million in grants and scholarships.
