Following last week's work sessions, the Cedaredge Board of Trustees will meet for a regular meeting on Thursday, Sept. 20. The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. in the Cedaredge Civic Center, Grand Mesa Room, 140 NW 2nd Street. The public is encouraged to attend.
The agenda includes action on a variety of lease agreements requested by townspeople desiring easements to construct fences and consideration of a waiver allowing a citizen to keep a male fowl (a rooster) within town limits.
A resolution setting fees for sex offender registration and an ordinance altering local liquor licensing procedures will also be considered. Several special events liquor licenses requested by the Grand Mesa Arts & Events Center -- such licenses having been aired at public hearings last week -- will be considered for trustee approval.
The trustees will hear reports from several town commissions and departments and they will be reminded that the Cedaredge community clean up day will be held on Saturday, Sept. 29. Dumpsters will be available that day from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. to receive yard and household garbage. No appliances, electronics, wet paint, tires, concrete, rocks, dirt, furniture, hazardous material or motor oil will be accepted. The dumpster site is the town public works building at 160 SE High Country Avenue.
