Last year's first of the month Cedaredge Art Walks are continuing to evolve. The first change for 2019's art walks was moving the event to the first Saturday of each month for June through September.

This year, by mutual agreement, the Grand Mesa Arts and Events Center has taken over coordination of the monthly event from the Cedaredge Area Chamber of Commerce.

On Saturday, July 6, the event will feature multiple venues with select downtown and Highway 65 businesses being open to offer food and shopping.

To help shoppers beat the heat, the Methodist Thrift Shop at 205 West Main St. will stage a 'Christmas in July Sidewalk Sale' from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. From 10 a.m-4 p.m. the Grand Mesa Arts & Events Center (GMAEC) at 195 W. Main St. will feature affiliated artists and other vendors in the theater.

The GMAEC will also host an afternoon soirée from 2-4 p.m. in the art gallery. The afternoon event will feature a cash bar and entertainment by John McCoy plus an opportunity to view the watercolors of Virginia Blackstock.

From 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The Old Slaughterhouse Music Hall at 230 E. Main St. will present a flea market featuring artisans and food vendors. The final two First Saturday events will take place on Aug. 3 and Sept. 7.
