On Dec. 11, at 8:30 a.m., Delta County Realtors Perry Hotz and Janice Jones will receive the National Association of Realtors Emeritus award in recognition of 40 years of service as realtors, Delta County Board of Realtors CEO Cyrene Jagger said in an email.
“This prestigious recognition is awarded to a select few members who have held active status for a cumulative period of 40 years and have completed at least one year of volunteer service on the local, state or national levels,” Jagger said.
Hotz, who is part of Cedaredge Land Company, has been actively licensed for 40 years and has been working in Cedaredge for 36 years. He has served with the Colorado Association of Realtors as district vice president and has also served as president of the Delta County Board of Realtors three times, Jagger said.
Jones, who is part of RE/MAX Mountain West in Cedaredge, has been licensed with the National Association of Realtors since 1978, during which she won several awards. These awards include the 100% Club, the Platinum Club, the Chairman’s Club, the Lifetime Achievement Award and the RE/MAX Hall of Fame. She is a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) and a graduate of the Realtor Institute, Jagger said. Additionally, Jones is a past director of Delta Area Development, Inc. and is involved with the Cedaredge Area Chamber of Commerce.
The award presentation on Dec. 11 will take place during the Delta County Board of Realtors’ general membership meeting at RJ’s Steakhouse.
Hotz and Jones will be the third and fourth realtors with the Delta County Board of Realtors to win the award this year, as the National Association of Realtors presented the Realtor Emeritus Award to RE/MAX Mountain West Owners Bob and Linda Lario in June.
