The North Fork Ambulance Association (NFAA) will hold its annual meeting Feb. 21 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at 110 East Hotchkiss Avenue in Hotchkiss and is open to the public. There will be a state of the association address, annual financials will be presented, and an election will be held for four board seats. Refreshments will be served and a regular business meeting will follow.
Providing ambulance service in the valley since 1969, the NFAA is a 501c3 nonprofit, private corporation. Things will be changing for the NFAA, now in its 50th year, as last fall local voters approved the formation of a special district for ambulance service in the North Fork valley and surrounding area. NFAA will continue to provide ambulance service for the first six months of this year while the newly formed special district, North Fork EMS, gets everything in place to take over ambulance service around July 1.
The NFAA will continue to exist for the support of emergency medical services in the North Fork Valley. The NFAA nonprofit board meets every second Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. at 110 East Hotchkiss Avenue in Hotchkiss and all meetings are open to the public.
The North Fork EMS board meets every second Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at 110 East Hotchkiss Avenue in Hotchkiss and all meetings are open to the public. For further information or questions, please call the office at 970-872-4303.
