Nora Lynn Lindsey of Olathe died at home after a short illness June 24, 2019. She was 78.
She was born to Ted and Lois (Pfister) McCracken in Olathe April 23, 1941. She never left the Olathe area. She graduated from Olathe High School in 1959 and went to work at Mountain Bell, which is now CenturyLink.She retired in 2003 after over 40 years with the company
She married Billy Lindsey Feb. 19, 1965. They bought a home on Ash Mesa and raised sweet cherries on their farm. She remained there until her death.
Mrs. Lindsey was a member of the General Assembly and Church of the First Born. She enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens.
She is survived by daughters, Susan (Chris) Bunch of Olathe, Peggy Lindsey (Richard Scott) of Ouray, Julie (James) DellaRocco of Olathe; grandchildren, Stephanie (Jeremy) Easter of Vici, Okla., Shane (Courtney) Payton of Vici, Okla., Savanna (Trevor) Bellew of Hobart, Okla., Kayla (Kevin) Karsh of Ouray, Danny (Evelyn Aparicio) Tomaske of Gunnison, Taylor (Blake) Bosch of Sapulpa, Okla., and Kara DellaRocco of Olathe; great-grandchildren, Wolfe and Calvin Karsh of Ouray, Gabriel and Zoey Tomaske of Gunnison, Abram and August Payton of Vici, Okla.; brothers; sisters; and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Bill Lindsey; daughters, Janet and Annette; parents, Ted and Lois McCracken; sisters, Linda Greene, Merrell Morris; brothers, Johnny McCracken, Alfred McCracken; and son-in-law, Steve Payton.
Mrs. Lindsey will be interred in the Olathe cemetery.
