Ronald Dee Searle died July 13, 2019, at Sunrise Creek Assisted Living Center in Montrose. He was a Montrose and former North Fork area resident. He was 89.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 20, at Taylor Funeral Service chapel in Hotchkiss. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.

He was born March 3, 1930, to Delos and Alice (Caldwell) Searle in Salt Lake City, Utah. He spent his childhood and attended school in LaPoint, Utah.

He married Lela Jorgensen Oct. 7, 1948, in Randlett, Utah. This marriage was later dissolved in divorce.

Mr. Searle worked in construction and logging. He was a rancher and cowboy in Hotchkiss and Paonia. He enjoyed bullriding and rodeos.

He is survived by his sons, Riley (Sherry) Searle, Leland Searle, and Karl (Yolanda) Searle; brother, Brice (Janette) Searle of Brigham, Utah, 12 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Searle was preceded in death by his daughters, Ronda Canterbury, and Calene Oglesby; brother, Keith Searle; and sister, Lorna Daniels.
