Dear Editor:

I went to a suicide discussion meeting in Delta. Whenever there is a suicide a lot of the public blames the school system. The school system is here to educate. I made the comment that almost all of the kids who commit suicide really don't have parents. I will clarify this statement. A good parent is loving, caring, provides guidance and spends time with their kids. When I say kids don't have parents, I'm referring to the families that have no time for their kids, or the parents are on drugs or alcohol.

Do not blame anyone, including the school system and teachers. If you are not involved in preventing these problems, then you are at fault.
