I was very interested to read that Nathan Yager's murder conviction was reversed. I was a member of the jury that convicted him. His plea was insanity until the last day of the trial, when it was changed to crime of passion. The jury sent a note to the judge asking the reason for the change. The judge sent a note back to us saying we did not need to know that.
The whole trial was somewhat confusing and I have thought about it a lot since it happened. I also thought that a 42-year sentence was extreme, but figured that was something else I didn't need to know. Please continue to keep us up to date on what's happening with this case.
