On Oct. 19, we expressed our love for the Cedaredge community, including surrounding communities, with a banquet and auction. We are grateful we received back even more love. We thank the 100 people who bought tickets to our banquet (we thought our capacity was 96), over 40 people and merchants that provided auction items, 11 FFA table servers and 10 Cedaredge High School Jazz Ensemble musicians. Over 150 people helped and we thank them all. We honored Terry Hotz as the first “Our Beloved Cedaredge Community” award winner for her decades of service to children and youth. We raised over $10,000 dollars and are giving it to children and youth-serving programs $500 each to: the Little Sprouts Pre-School, Cedaredge Women’s Literary Club, Music Program at Cedaredge High School, Grand Mesa Arts and Events Center and Surface Creek Valley Historical Society. It is a blessing to join together with other groups and celebrate Our Beloved Cedaredge Community.
