I recently joined other interested city/county residents and business owners for a sit-down with Delta City Council candidate Ryan Crick. I left that discussion feeling listened to and excited about Ryan’s vision for his hometown, and his focus on moving our city forward, yet protecting the rural/small-town life that we all enjoy. I was particularly interested in his plan to establish a Business Owner Group, which will include both city and county business owners, and his desire to create a new attitude on how the city works with businesses.

We currently have council members elected in 2016 who are seeking to hold their seats for another four years. Councilors who were elected based on promises to make jobs a number-one priority, encourage economic development, fill every storefront on Main Street, and make Delta a better place to live. Those are still great goals; however, they require a council member who is able to unify rather than divide. One who understands the importance of city collaboration and partnership with local organizations and possesses the fresh perspective and “can-do” attitude that will set our town on the path to a promising future.

I encourage you to contact Ryan and schedule a time to sit down with him (voteryancrick@gmail.com). You will walk away feeling heard, and with a greater understanding of Ryan’s vision and the steps he plans to take to get us there.

Delta needs Ryan. Ryan needs you. Vote for Ryan Crick for Delta City Council 2020!
