PEO Chapter BK is pleased to announce that Jennifer Jones has been awarded an ELF by the PEO International committee. The PEO Educational Loan Fund (ELF) is a revolving loan fund established in 1907 to lend money to qualified women students to assist them in securing a higher education.
Jones is in her final year at Colorado Mesa University and will graduate with a bachelor of fine arts degree.
PEO is a philanthropic educational organization where women celebrate and actively support the advancement of women; educate women through scholarships, grants, awards, loans and stewardship of Cottey College; and motivate women to achieve their highest aspirations. Chapter BK is excited for Jennifer and will continue to support her throughout this year. During a preliminary hearing in Delta District Court on Tuesday, Jan. 15, Judge Steven Schultz found probable cause for second degree murder charges against Heather Jones.
Jones previously faced three counts in the shooting of Ryan Redifer in Paonia on Jan. 12, 2018 -- assault in the first degree, assault in the second degree and violation of a protection order.
