After what was described as a "credible threat" to the Walmart in Delta, officers of the Delta Police Department stepped up their presence at the store on Stafford Lane and closed down one set of doors to keep a better eye on those coming in and out. Business continued as usual.
DPD Chief Luke Fedler said he could not comment on the nature of the threat. On Tuesday, police were still visible, both inside the store and out, although a Walmart media representative said the threat made specific mention of Dec. 1.
On Dec. 2, officers of the Delta Police Department responded to a report of an assault. Officers spoke with a 64-year-old male with a bleeding injury on his neck.
