The annual Cherry Days 5k Run happens Saturday, July 1. The run/walk begins and ends at Apple Valley Park. Entry fee is $30 for adults, $10 for ages 17 and younger, and includes a commemorative T-shirt. Awards categories include the oldest and youngest runner, most creatively dressed; age divisions include a 17-and-under division, ages 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, and best overall male/female in the Masters (over 50) category.
Pre-registration forms and a course description can be downloaded at www.paoniacherrydays.com under the "activities" tab, and should be postmarked by June 28 to ensure arrival; race-day registration begins at 6:30 a.m., at Apple Valley Park.
