Senior meals listed for January

Senior CommUnity meals are served at four dining sites in Delta County -- Cedaredge Civic Center (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), Delta Senior Center (Monday, Wednesday, Friday), Hotchkiss Senior Center (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) and Paonia Senior Citizen Center (Monday, Wednesday, Friday). Meals on Wheels are also delivered from each location. More information is available by calling the Cedaredge meal site, 856-3636; the Delta meal site, 874-5302; Hotchkiss Senior Center, 872-3494; and Paonia Senior Citizen Center, 527-3435.
The menu through Jan. 31 follows:
Wednesday, Jan. 2 -- Roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, broccoli, kidney bean salad, wheat roll and birthday cake.
Thursday, Jan. 3 -- Creamed potato soup, barbecue chicken breast, bell pepper, carrots and onions, cornbread and cinnamon roll.
Friday, Jan. 4 -- Cheddar cheeseburger on a whole wheat bun, lettuce/onion/tomato, potato wedges, baked beans and fruit cocktail.
Monday, Jan. 7 -- Italian chicken breast, pea and cheese salad, potatoes O'Brien, stewed tomatoes, roll and apple crisp.
Tuesday, Jan. 8 -- Potato-crusted cod, green pepper coleslaw, potato wedges, whole wheat roll and apple.
Wednesday, Jan. 9 -- Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, three-bean salad, whole wheat roll and half an orange.
Thursday, Jan. 10 -- Roast turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, California blend veggies, bacon ranch pea salad, whole wheat roll and birthday cake.
Friday, Jan. 11 -- Ham and beans, cottage cheese and mandarin oranges, cornbread, parsley carrots and oatmeal raisin cookie.
Monday, Jan. 14 -- Chicken enchilada casserole, Spanish rice, hot black bean salad and tropical fruit.
Tuesday, Jan. 15 -- Cheddar cheeseburger on whole wheat bun, lettuce/onion/tomato, potato wedges, baked beans and fruit cocktail.
Wednesday, Jan. 16 -- Pepperoni and beef pizza on homemade crust, calico pea salad, zucchini, tomatoes and onions, and pineapple.
Thursday, Jan. 17 -- Meat loaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, broccoli and carrots, three-bean salad and Greek yogurt with berries.
Friday, Jan. 18 -- Beef and sausage lasagna, green beans, tossed salad, garlic bread and peaches.
Monday, Jan. 21 -- Oven-fried chicken breast, green beans, oven-roasted potatoes, garden slaw, whole wheat roll and honey bee ambrosia.
Tuesday, Jan. 22 -- Chili con carne with cheddar cheese and diced onion, pea and cheese salad, cornbread and fruit cocktail.
Wednesday, Jan. 23 -- Beef stew, Italian vegetable salad, onion rye roll and peach crisp.
Thursday, Jan. 24 -- Spaghetti with meat sauce, tossed salad, Italian vegetables, homemade breadstick and diced peaches.
Friday, Jan. 25 --Pork and green chili stew, corn tortilla, pinto beans, marinated carrot salad and strawberry gelatin dessert.
Monday, Jan. 28 -- Ham loaf, scalloped potatoes, Italian vegetable pasta salad, whole wheat roll and cinnamon applesauce.
Tuesday, Jan. 29 -- Pizza mac casserole, garbanzo bean and tomato salad, Italian bread and honey fruit dessert.
Wednesday, Jan. 30 -- Chicken pot pie, vegetable soup, onion roll and tropical fruit mix.
Thursday, Jan. 31 -- Beef, cheese and rice burrito with green sauce, lettuce/tomato/onion, refried beans and churro.
