Senior CommUnity meals are served at four dining sites in Delta County -- Cedaredge Community Center (Monday-Thursday), Delta Community Center (Monday-Friday), Hotchkiss Senior Center (Monday-Thursday) and Paonia Senior Citizen Center (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). Meals on Wheels are also delivered from each location. Monday, Oct. 3 -- Chicken and noodles, mandarin spinach salad, peas and carrots, cheesy biscuit and pumpkin custard.
Tuesday, Oct. 4 -- Cream of potato soup, grilled ham and cheese sandwich, orange-glazed carrots, tossed salad and cherry crisp.
Wednesday, Oct. 5 -- Roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, honey-glazed carrots, three-bean salad, onion roll, frosted cake and orange segment.
Thursday, Oct. 6 -- Chicken and dumplings, peas and pearl onions, Harvard beets, rye roll and sunset yogurt dessert.
Friday, Oct. 7 -- Ham and broccoli casserole, carrots, orange spinach berry salad, cornbread and baked apple slices.
Monday, Oct. 10 -- Beef burrito, lettuce/tomato/onion, Mexican rice, refried beans and fruit cocktail.
Tuesday, Oct. 11 -- Lemon pepper fish, macaroni and cheese, carrot and raisin salad, California blend vegetables, onion-rye roll and tropical fruit mix.
Wednesday, Oct. 12 -- Oven-baked chicken, pineapple coleslaw, apple-yam bake, French cut green beans and zucchini muffin.
Thursday, Oct. 13 -- Roast turkey with cranberry, mashed potatoes and gravy, kidney bean salad, mandarin oranges, oatmeal rolls and frosted cake.
Friday, Oct. 14 -- Ham loaf, baked potato with broccoli and cheese sauce, calico vegetable salad, pineapple tidbits and blueberry muffin.
Monday, Oct. 17 -- Barbecue chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green pea salad, Oriental vegetables, whole wheat roll and almond-cherry dessert.
Tuesday, Oct. 18 -- Chili con carne with onions and cheese, creamy cucumber salad, sweet corn, cornbread and half an orange.
Wednesday, Oct. 19 -- Liver and onions or beef patty, mashed potatoes and gravy, carrot and raisin salad, ranch beans and fresh fruit cup.
Thursday, Oct. 20 -- Baked ham, whipped sweet potatoes, honey bee ambrosia, broccoli and bread pudding.
Friday, Oct. 21 -- Pot roast with potatoes, onions and carrots, kidney bean salad, sweet potato roll and apple crisp.
Monday, Oct. 24 -- Baked paprika chicken, fettuccini alfredo, tossed salad, Italian stewed tomatoes and banana.
Tuesday, Oct. 25 -- Tuna salad sandwich on wheat bun, lettuce/tomato/onion, cheesy vegetable soup, pineapple tidbits and lemon pie cookie bar.
Wednesday, Oct. 26 -- Meat loaf, baked potato, mandarin spinach salad, broccoli and cinnamon roll.
Thursday, Oct. 27 -- Spaghetti with meat sauce, tossed salad, green beans, Italian bread and strawberry gelatin dessert.
Friday, Oct. 28 -- Hot turkey open face sandwich, mashed potatoes and gravy, cabbage and carrots, garden cottage cheese salad and grapes.
Monday, Oct. 31 -- Sloppy joe on a whole wheat bun, kidney bean salad, baked potato wedge, mixed vegetables and applesauce cake.
During a preliminary hearing in Delta District Court on Tuesday, Jan. 15, Judge Steven Schultz found probable cause for second degree murder charges against Heather Jones.
Jones previously faced three counts in the shooting of Ryan Redifer in Paonia on Jan. 12, 2018 -- assault in the first degree, assault in the second degree and violation of a protection order.
