Former Delta High School student athlete Skylyn Webb competes on the University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's indoor track and field team. Webb recently earned NCAA Division ll provisional qualifying marks.
Webb competed at both the Mines Alumni Classic and Adams State's Early Grizzly Open, and ran provisional times in the 800m (2:09.88) and 400m (56.13), winning both events for the Mountain Lions. Her 800m time is a new program record.
In both events, Webb's times currently ranks her second in all of Division ll.
The Mountain Lions will resume competition, following a break, on Jan. 19-20 at the Western State Quad Meet in Gunnison.
During a preliminary hearing in Delta District Court on Tuesday, Jan. 15, Judge Steven Schultz found probable cause for second degree murder charges against Heather Jones.
Jones previously faced three counts in the shooting of Ryan Redifer in Paonia on Jan. 12, 2018 -- assault in the first degree, assault in the second degree and violation of a protection order.
