With the loss of all Delta County schools in football, volleyball and soccer, the fall sports season comes to a close for 2018.
Cedaredge and Delta enjoyed successful seasons on the softball diamonds while area cross country athletes were, again, highly successful on the various trails and race courses in the state.
Football and volleyball were the last to succumb to rigorous schedules and demanding contests which saw Delta and Paonia advance to post-season play. Both Delta (Class 2A) and Paonia (Class 1A) were eliminated this past weekend after positive and successful football campaigns.
In volleyball, Cedaredge, Delta and Paonia all reached post-season play with their final games being played this past weekend.
