The No. 1 and 2 teams from the 1A WSL met Nov. 1 in Meeker to determine the league champion. Meeker High School, sitting atop the standings at 4-0, hosted the Hotchkiss High School Bulldogs (4-0) to settle who would carry the best record into this year’s 1A state football playoffs.

Winning the final four volleyball matches of the regular season wasn’t enough to bring Hotchkiss High School’s record up to playoff level standards in RPI rankings. The Bulldogs ended the regular season with a 9-14 record (45th RPI). Thirty-two teams receive playoff berths.
