This year's Bill Heddles Recreation Center Men's Slow Pitch softball tournament took a pair of games to determine the 2019 titlest.

Balls Deep, the number four seed in league play, waltzed through three days of action before losing the first game in championship play July 25.

Balls Deep upset league champion Crazy B's the first day of tournament action and went on to roll, undefeated, into the finals where a 21-9 loss in game one forced a title-deciding game two July 25. Balls Deep scored a 20-14 win to capture the title.

In last week's play, July 18, Balls Deep played an early winner's bracket game and defeated number three Big B's to reach the finals.

Crazy B's road to the finals included losers' bracket wins over number six Delta Metals, number two Mountain Men and Big B's.

Crazy B's accumulated 14 runs on 16 hits to take a 14-8 lead after three innings of play. Crazy B's aggressive play continued through the remainder of the game and eventually led to a 21-9 win forcing game two.

Balls Deep regrouped in the deciding game to surge to a 7-0 lead early in the game and went on to outplay Crazy B's for a game-winning 20-14 score and claim the title.
