There were four forfeits in last Friday's (Feb. 7) wrestling dual between Cedaredge and Meeker high schools in Meeker. The Bruins and Cowboys split the points involved with the forfeits and then wrestled for the win the rest of the way.

Meeker won the first two bouts (106 and 113) before Cutter Garrison's Bruins picked up their first win at 120 with Ryan Imhoff winning by fall. Trey Geyer won his 126-pound match by fall and Sean Dale won by forfeit at 132 with AJ Robidoux winning by fall at 138.

The Bruins concluded a string of seven straight wins with Adrian Nieto winning by fall at 145, Brian Hoerr winning by fall at 152 and Ty Walck winning by forfeit at 160.

Derek Sanchez won the 285-pound match with a 0:20 fall to make the final score 48-30.

All four Delta County wrestling teams will participate in regional action in Montrose at the Montrose Event Center on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 14 and 15. State wrestling tournaments are in Denver at the Pepsi Center on Feb. 20, 21. 22.
