Delta High School had a successful soccer season with the Panthers reaching the round of eight before falling to Atlas Preparatory School and bowing out of the title chase for a Class 3A soccer title.

Delta finished the season with a solid 14-4 record and cruised through the first two rounds of the 2019 State 3A Boys Soccer Tournament before Atlas Prep School ended the Panthers season with a 7-0 defeat.

Though the season ended, there were several postseason accolades for the Panthers. Seniors Martin Corral and Jarett Hernandez were selected to the 3A WSL All-Conference First Team along with Roaring Fork’s Lucas Schramer, Dylan Webster and Frankie Harrington; Coal Ridge’s Jack Price; Basalt’s Mateo Salazar and Gaby Bonilla; Aspen’s Jose Medrano; Moffat County’s Erik Payan and Vail Mountain’s Zach Stockton. Selected to the Honorable Mention list were Delta seniors Felipe Bedoy, Alexis Fausto and Nico Sanabria; Roaring Fork’s Ross Barlow, Noah Wheeless and Emiliano Magana; Coal Ridge’s JP Gallardo; Basalt’s Angel Arce; Aspen’s Charlie Forster and Nick Mitchel; Vail Mountain’s Joey Greenblatt, Nick O’Connell and Henry Stranch and Moffat County’s Mario Numez.

The individual top award in the 3A WSL, The Player of the Year, went to Corral with Coach of the Year honors being bestowed upon Roaring Fork’s Nick Forbes.
