The opening round game of the 2020 2A Region 2 tournament in Limon was between No. 15 Hotchkiss (18-4) and No. 18 Sedgwick County (Julesburg, 15-7) was closely contested over four quarters with regulation play ending in a 47-47 tie. An overtime period was needed to determine a winner with Hotchkiss outscoring Sedgwick County 13-4 to claim a 60-51 win and advancing to the regional finals against No. 2 Limon (21-1).
