The annual Hotchkiss High School 18 Hole Golf Scramble golf tournament has change its name after Paonia High School merged with Hotchkiss High School. Now the annual event will be played under the banner heading of North Fork Football: 18 Hole Golf Scramble.

There will be the same ingredients that have made the event a popular golfing gathering for many Hotchkiss High School alumni, and other golfing enthusiasts from far and wide.

Devil’s Thumb remains the host site for the tournament with registration set for 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. on July 24. A shotgun start is scheduled to kickoff the 18-hole tournament featuring teams of four players at a fee of $80 per team member. The fee includes a cart, range balls prior to tournament play and lunch. A $10 mulligan purchase price is good for only four mulligans per team.

Prizes will be awarded to the first place team, longest drive and closest to the pin contests.

Following the conclusion of play and awards, there is a raffle with tickets selling for $5 per ticket or 5 for $20.
