Both North Fork High School track and field teams had strong showings at the Colorado State Track and Field Championships in Lakewood across Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Inclement weather pushed back proceedings by a day, but the girls team finished 11th and the boys team was 13th.

North Fork’s 4x200 girls relay team of Payton Carver, Indigo Miller-Barnes, Leia Ellenberger and Kacie McCollum took second with a time of 1 minute, 45.90 seconds, just more than one second off the winner. The 800 sprint medley team of Lottie Hollembeak, Carver, McCollum and Ellenberger placed third with a time of 1:51.00. That medley team also ran that 4x100, where they finished second with a time of 50:50.
