The staff of the Technical College of the Rockies is hard at work developing new programs and events to bring to not only Delta, but the surrounding communities and counties, as well. To that end, Technical College of the Rockies is pleased to announce it has expanded, with an accredited satellite site at the Gunnison Watershed School District Pathways Center in Gunnison. There are currently seven secondary students enrolled in the hair styling program, and five concurrent students enrolled in the early childhood education program. Accreditation will be through the Council on Occupational Education (www.council.org).
TCR has also applied for accreditation for a satellite campus at the PIC Place in Montrose and is planning to offer courses in early childhood education, certified nursing assistant, and medical/clinical assistant in the spring of 2019.
Technical College of the Rockies will also offer a continuing education course on cardiac emergencies, in conjunction with Care Flight, on Wednesday, Oct. 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Enterprise Room at TCR. The purpose of the course is to educate around the latest trends in cardiac care and how they translate to the emergency services settings and the ER. The course is FREE, but space is limited; all attendees will receive a certificate of attendance.
