The national and world news can be bleak and demoralizing. Thanks to the DCI for presenting stories of people who have done many positive things in our community in the past week. I'm sure I've missed mentioning some and I'm very sorry. But just in one county and only ONE weekly edition of the DCI, Delta County, I noted these good, caring and generous people and say a heartfelt thank you to all:
Andrew Baier, Back the Blue 5k, Comfort Keepers, Cedaredge Rebekah Lodge, Creekside Cafe, Delta Correction Facility work crew, Dorothy and Les Mergelman, J&S Bakeria, Jennifer and Scott Chlarson, Larry Jakubiak, Love Your Lashes, Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus, Phyllis Hoffman, Reagan Clay, Red Mountain Ranch, Surface Creek Food Bank, Tia Homedew and veterinarian Alan Dorr
There are numerous caring and giving people in this world, and I thank the DCI for spotlighting some of the many in our county who make a positive difference.
On Dec. 2, officers of the Delta Police Department responded to a report of an assault. Officers spoke with a 64-year-old male with a bleeding injury on his neck.
