It appears that the Grinch has been trying to spoil Christmas for the Delta Food Pantry and we need your help! Apparently, the Grinch stole the pantry's Christmas Tree and ran! Fortunately, Brown Cycles found the Grinch with the pantry's tree on Main Street, Grand Junction. They have rounded up the Grinch, Cat in the Hat and Max the Dog who have agreed to pedal a three-person tandem, pulling a trailer with the fully lit tree, back to Delta. The ride is scheduled Monday, Nov. 19, from Brown Cycles to Fort Uncompahgre where they will hold a weeklong food drive.
The problem is the amount of energy required for the Grinch, the Cat in the Hat and Max the Dog to keep the tree lit while they pedal that three-person tandem 40 long miles! That's why we need your help!
If everyone gives ONE DOLLAR, the Delta Food Pantry will have enough pedal power to make the trip. Plus, they invite you and your family to light up your bikes and join them in the Delta Parade of Lights Saturday, Nov. 24, as the Grinch, the Cat in the Hat and Max the Dog joyfully return the Delta Food Pantry's Christmas tree. Just look for the bikes and join the fun.
You can contribute your dollar today as a group or take it and a can of food to the Fort, or even mail it to the Food Pantry at PO Box 903, Delta, CO 81416.
