Delta resident Tillie M. Jackson died Dec. 19, 2017, at HopeWest Hospice Care Center in Grand Junction. She was 80.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 11, at Mesa View Cemetery in Delta.
Tillie Marie Montano was born May 12, 1937, to Ignacio and Nellie (McCumber) Montano in Husted. She spent her childhood in Divide, Cripple Creek, and on the Montano family ranch.
On Nov. 2, 1957, she married Albert Jackson in Raton, N.M. They moved to Delta in 1979.
Mrs. Jackson enjoyed coloring, cooking, gardening, yard work and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Milton (Dixie) Jackson of Fort Morgan, Gregory (Debra) Jackson of Delta and Lisa (Dallas) Turner of Nucla; a sister, Marion Mitchell of Colorado Springs; a sister-in-law, Beth Montano of Cañon City; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; a son, Randall Jackson; two brothers, Alfred and Joseph Montano; and two sisters, Betty Hulstrom and Emma Thomas.

During a preliminary hearing in Delta District Court on Tuesday, Jan. 15, Judge Steven Schultz found probable cause for second degree murder charges against Heather Jones.
Jones previously faced three counts in the shooting of Ryan Redifer in Paonia on Jan. 12, 2018 -- assault in the first degree, assault in the second degree and violation of a protection order.
