Cedaredge

Storytimes. Storytimes for babies, tots and preschoolers are Thursdays starting at 10:30 a.m.

Alive at 65. Friends of the Cedaredge Library will host a presentation by Darold Sloan on safe driving tips at Cedaredge Library. The presentation will start at 2 p.m. Jan. 10 and will be followed by the friends regular meeting.

Surface Creek Trail StoryWalk®. The December-January StoryWalk® book on the Surface Creek Trail is "Santasaurus' Adventure" written and illustrated by Cedaredge High School students.

Crafts Group. Crafters meet every Tuesday at 10 a.m. to share ideas and show and tell.

Tech Café. Bring your devices! Bring your questions! The second and fourth Fridays of every month from 2 to 4 p.m.

Digging Your Roots Genealogy Group. The Cedaredge genealogy group meets the first Friday of every month through June from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Crawford

Tech Help. Librarians will be available to help you with questions and problems about computers or mobile devices. Wednesday through Saturday by appointment. Contact the library at 399-7783 for details.

Delta

Storytimes. Storytimes for babies, tots and preschoolers are Wednesdays starting at 10:30 a.m. Contact the library at 874-9630 for details.

Bucket Bands and Rhythm Jams. Third, fourth and fifth graders are invited to Delta Library for a fun, musical jam session led by percussionist Gerry Lell. Each session is open to 10 drummers on a first come, first served basis. Every Wednesday, Jan. 9-30, at 5:15 p.m. and every Saturday, Jan. 5-26, at 10:30 a.m.

Tech Information Station. Delta Library offers an open tech information station in the conference room for all ages and skill levels to seek technical assistance with computers and tablets. Attendees will also receive an introduction to utilizing library databases for online research and classes. Monday, Jan. 7, at 4 p.m. and Thursday, Jan. 17, at 11 a.m.

Delta Friends Meeting. Friends of the Delta Library meet Tuesday, Jan. 8, at 3 p.m. at Delta Library.

Sweitzer Lake Story Walk® The January-February StoryWalk® at Sweitzer Lake State Park is "The Mitten" by Jan Brett. Find out how the story goes, then visit Delta Library for an activity that relates to the story.

Name That Soup Scavenger Hunt. Kids are invited to Delta Library to embark on a scavenger hunt to find 12 different soups hidden in the children's area. Win a prize if you find all 12! All month in January during library hours.

Build a Snowflake Maker Space. Kids are invited to Delta Library to get creative building a snowflake using magnetic pieces. All supplies provided. All month in January during library hours.

Mystery Lovers Book Sale. Calling all mystery lovers! During January, Friends of the Delta Library will feature mystery novels in the Delta Library bookstore. This is a deal you won't want to miss! Hardbacks for $1 and paperbacks for 50¢

Council of Teens. The Council of Teens helps plan programs and activities as well as come up with books to add to the teen collection. Meets every Monday at 4 p.m.

Genealogy One-on-one. The Delta genealogy group meets on the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 5 p.m.

Hotchkiss

Master Builder Club. Explore your creativity as a master builder with LEGO and other materials! Join us for monthly design themes and free building time. All ages welcome, children under 7 should bring an adult. Tuesday, Jan. 8, at 4 p.m. at Hotchkiss Library.

Around the World at the Library. Travel the world and explore a different country with first-hand accounts from local guests. All ages welcome. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at 4 p.m.

Hotchkiss Book Club. This month, the Hotchkiss Book Club will be discussing "Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers" by Mary Roach. Thursday, Jan. 17, at 3 p.m.

Knitting Group. Do you knit or crochet? Join us for ideas, help, and good company the second Thursday of every month at 10:30 a.m.

Paonia

Evening Concert with Michael Gulezian. Guitar virtuoso Michael Gulezian will play a rare local concert in the Paonia Library. Tuesday, Jan. 8, at 7 p.m.

Winter Scavenger Hunt. All month long in January.

New Year, New You. Teens are invited to Paonia Library to create a personalized journal for the new year. All supplies will be provided. All month long in January.

Tech Café. Starting in January! Paonia Library offers an open Tech Café in the community room for all ages and skill levels to seek tech assistance with computers, tablets and phones. Every Wednesday from 2 to 3 p.m.

Convergence: Call for Submissions. The Paonia Literary Committee is seeking original works of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, essays and photographs for the 2019 book "Convergence: Words and Images from the West Elks" (formerly called "Write On.")
