Fly Fishing 101 on Grand Mesa. Back by popular demand! The Nature Connection is offering a Fly Fishing 101 program for sixth-eighth graders out of the gear hub at Cedaredge Library. David Holt, resident fly fishing master, will teach the introductory class. One adult family member or friend may accompany each participant. Registered students and their guests will meet at Cedaredge Library at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, then head up to the Grand Mesa for a four-hour workshop. A $5 registration fee for students includes fishing gear and transportation from the library. Registration is required for this class, no later than Oct. 6. Discover Health Scavenger Hunt. Kids are invited to embark on a scavenger hunt and learn some fun health facts along the way! During the month of October.
Surface Creek Trail StoryWalk®. The October StoryWalk® book on the Surface Creek Trail is "Little Apple Goat" by Caroline Jayne Church. Find out how the story goes on the Surface Creek Trail in October. Then, visit the Cedaredge Library for a take-home craft related to the story.
AppleFest Book Sale. Lions Pavilion on the southeast corner of the park. Saturday, Oct. 6, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 7, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Crafts Group. Crafters meet every Tuesday at 10 a.m. to share ideas and show and tell.
Genealogy. Who's who in Whoville? The Cedaredge genealogy group meets the first Friday of every month from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Friends of the Delta Library Meeting. Support Delta Library ... be a friend! The public is welcome and encouraged to attend. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at 3 p.m.
Cooking Matters. Teens and adults are invited to Delta Library for a demonstration on healthy cooking. Following the demonstration, teens are invited to stay for healthy eating tips from a dietitian. Thursday, Oct. 11, at 1 p.m.
Dance and Move with Linda Dysart. Kids are invited to experience how muscles and bones work through dance and movement. Thursday, Oct. 11, at 2 p.m.
Build a Skeleton Scavenger Hunt. Kids are invited to Delta Library to search for hidden bones in the children's area and build a moving skeleton.
Create a Hand Maker Space. Kids are invited to Delta Library to create a movable hand using straws and colored string. Participants will see how tendons and ligaments work. All supplies provided.
Wellness Screening. Adults are invited to Delta Library for a free health screening. A small prick of your finger, a few health questions and you'll get your total cholesterol, HDL and LDL, triglycerides, blood glucose, A1C, and an action plan to improve your health. Tuesday, Oct. 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Council of Teens. The Council of Teens will help plan programs and activities as well as come up with books to add to the teen collection. Meets every Monday at 4 p.m.
Genealogy One-on-one. The Delta genealogy group meets on the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 5 p.m.
Talk & Tangle Yarn. This is a group of knit and crochet enthusiasts who get together to talk and work on their individual projects. Mondays starting at 5:30 p.m.
