What's the rush?

Dear Editor:

Tailgaters. I'm not talking about parties you have in the back of your car at football games, but about the kind that follow too close in your car on roadways. I have had numerous incidents with cars (usually trucks) following too close behind me. And so have other people I have talked to. It is a very dangerous and distracting problem. Colorado driver's handbook says you should leave at least two car lengths between you and the vehicle in front. This occurs on Hwy. 65 going to the Grand Mesa. The speed limit is 55 mph, and only two lanes, and not much room to pull over and no passing lanes. People should allow themselves more time to get places. I mean, this is western Colorado, why such a rush? These people should get traffic citations.
