Don't miss your chance to be part of Deltarado Days this weekend! There's still time to register for most events, including the parade, glo run, car show, grass volleyball, golf, horseshoe and cornhole tournaments.
The glo run is new this year. Participants can choose from two courses, one or three miles in length, and start any time between 7 and 8 p.m. There is no charge for this event, which will take place after the Altrusa kick-off dinner and prior to the movie in the park sponsored by Grace Church.
The parade takes place Saturday, July 28, and will begin promptly at 10 a.m. Check-in time starts at 8 a.m. in the parking lot at 9th and Grand. The parade route is on Main Street from 9th Street north to 2nd Street.
There is no charge for entries, thanks to Bank of Colorado, the parade sponsor. Floats, car/motorcycle entries, equestrian entries and people walking or riding bikes are all welcome.
Entry forms are available at the chamber office, 301 Main, Delta.
The 4x4 grass volleyball tournament begins at 11 a.m. Saturday. The registration fee is $100; the tournament format will be decided by the number of teams entering the event, which is sponsored by First State Bank of Colorado.
The format of the cornhole tournament will also be determined by the number of teams entering. Registration is $50 per team.
Naomi's Hope Project is the sponsor of the horseshoe tournament, the only event to be held at Cleland Park. Your $25 registration fee includes a T-shirt. A late registration fee of $30 will be in effect on the day of the tournament, and there's no guarantee of a T-shirt.
Men and women will be competing in a pickleball tournament on the tennis courts in Confluence Park. This event is full.
Kids' activities, a vendor village and the Delta Street Rodders' 15th annual car show will all be taking place in Confluence Park Saturday. Registration for the car show is from 7 to 10 a.m.; show hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Don't miss the pre-registration kickoff party at 5:30 p.m. Friday, July 27, at Butch's Cafe, 1560 S. Main Street. More information about the car show can be obtained by calling 874-8130.
